Ayurvedic Yoga Massage
Chloë is a level 4 trained Ayurvedic Yoga Massage therapist, having trained under the direction of senior assistant to Kusum Modak, Ananta Sylvain Girard who is the founder and instructor of the ARYM Institute.
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage combines traditional Indian oil Deep Tissue Massage and assisted Yoga-Based Stretching Therapy. This original method of AYM was developed by Master Kusum Modak from Pune, India. It masterfully combines traditional Ayurvedic Deep Tissue Massage with Yoga stretches and alignment derived from Iyengar Yoga. The comprehensive approach of AYM offers a complete therapy for the whole body and mind, bringing instant benefits on physical, psychological, and energetic levels.
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage ARYM is given on a mattress on the floor and treatment sessions vary between 60-90 minutes. The treatment involves alternation between Deep Tissue massage and a series of stretches covering all regions of the body. Gradually a sense of openness and presence is brought to the receiver. Both hands and feet are used in the delivery of the massage. Another unique tool of the AYM massage is the use of Calamus powder which, when mixed with just a little oil brings out the toxins from the body; the scrubbing and stimulating feeling awakens the skin, blood circulation and senses.
Chloë offers Ayurvedic Yoga Massage at Yogarise Peckham and as private home visits on request. Please email Chloë for enquiries.
